கர்த்தர் உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தத்திற்கே அழைத்திருக்கிறார்.

தேவன் நம்மை அசுத்தத்திற்கல்ல பரிசுத்தத்திற்கே அழைத்திருக்கிறார் (1 தெசலோ.4:7).

நாம் ஆராதிக்கிற தேவன் மகா பரிசுத்தமுள்ளவர். பரிசுத்தத்தின் மத்தியில் வாசம் பண்ணுகிறவர். இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களைப் பார்த்து, உங்கள் தேவனும் கர்த்தருமாகிய நான் பரிசுத்தர் என்று தன்னைக் குறித்து சாட்சி கொடுத்தார். தன்னுடைய முக்கியமான குணாதிசயமாகிய பரிசுத்தத்தில் ஒருபோதும் சமரசம் செய்யாதவர். அதுபோல அவருடைய ஜனங்களாகிய நாமும் பரிசுத்தமாகக் காணப்படவேண்டும் என்பது அவருடைய சித்தமாயிருக்கிறது. உங்களை அழைத்தவர் பரிசுத்தமாயிருக்கிறது போல, உங்கள் நடக்கைகள் எல்லாவற்றிலும் பரிசுத்தமாகக் காணப்படுங்கள் என்பது அவருடைய கட்டளையாகக் காணப்படுகிறது.

கர்த்தர் நம்மைப் பரிசுத்தத்திற்கு அழைத்தின் காரணம், ஒருநாள் நாம் அவரோடு கூட பரலோகத்தில் வாழப்போகிறோம். அங்கே அசுத்தத்திற்கு இடமில்லை. தீட்டுள்ளதும், அருவருப்பை நடப்பிக்கிற ஒன்றும் அங்கே பிரவேசிப்பதில்லை. அவருடைய வருகையில் யாருடைய ஆவி, ஆத்துமா, சரீரம் குற்றமற்றதாக, மாசற்றதாகக் காணப்படுகிறதோ, அவர்கள் மாத்திரம் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்படுவார்கள். உலகத்தின் இன்றைய சூழ்நிலையைப் பார்க்கும் போது கர்த்தருடைய வருகை வெகுச் சீக்கிரம் என்பது புலனாகிறது. கொள்ளை நோயும், யுத்தங்களும் யுத்தங்களின் செய்திகளும் எங்கும் கேட்கிறது. அணு ஆயுத போர் கூட வருவதற்குரிய வாய்ப்புகள் காணப்படுகிறது. ஒரு மனுஷனை மரணம்  எப்போது சந்திக்கும் என்பது ஒருவருக்கும் தெரியாது. அதுபோல, இதோ சீக்கிரமாய் வருகிறேன் என்ற கர்த்தருடைய வருகையும் எப்போது வேண்டுமானாலும் காணப்படலாம். எது முந்தி சம்பவித்தாலும் கர்த்தருடைய ஜனங்கள் ஆண்டவரைச் சந்திக்கவும், அவரோடு பரலோகத்தில் காணப்படுவதற்கும் ஆயத்தமாகக் காணப்படவேண்டும். ஆகையால் பரிசுத்த ஜீவியம் செய்வதற்கு உங்களை  முழுவதுமாக  அர்ப்பணியுங்கள். பரிசுத்தமுள்ளவன் இன்னும் பரிசுத்தமாகவேண்டும் என்பதும் கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளையாகக் காணப்படுகிறது.

கிறிஸ்தவர்களுடைய இன்றைய நிலையைப் பார்க்கும் போது, பரிசுத்தத்தைக் குறித்த பயமும் எண்ணமும் இல்லாத நிலை காணப்படுகிறது. சரீர பாண்டத்தைச் சுத்திகரித்து பரிசுத்தமாய் காத்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டியது நம்முடைய கடமை. கண்கள் சரீரத்தின் விளக்கு, அது சுத்தமாகக் காணப்பட்டால் தான் சரீரம் முழுவதும் சுத்தமாகக் காணப்படும். நாவு அநீதி நிறைந்த உலகம், அது முழு சரீரத்தையும் கறைப்படுத்தி விடும். ஆகையினால் நாவை அடக்கி, மனுஷன் பேசுகிற வார்த்தைக்கு எல்லாம் கணக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கவேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணத்தோடு நாவை பயன்படுத்தவேண்டும். இருதயம் கேடுள்ளதும் திருக்குள்ளதும், பயித்தியம் குடிகொள்ளுகிறதுமாய் காணப்படுகிறது. இருதயத்தைச் சுத்தமாகக் காத்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டும், இருதயச் சுத்தமுள்ளவர்கள்; தான் தேவனைத் தரிசிக்கமுடியும். கர்த்தருடைய பிள்ளைகளே, பரிசுத்தத்தை  வாஞ்சியுங்கள். நீங்கள் பரிசுத்தமாய் காணப்படவேண்டும் என்பது கர்த்தர் உங்களைக்  குறித்துக் கொண்ட சித்தமாயிருக்கிறது என்பதை உணர்ந்து பரிசுத்த ஜீவியத்தைப் பயபக்தியோடு நாடுங்கள்.

God has called you to holiness.

For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. (1 Thessalonians 4: 7).

The God we worship is the most holy God, one who dwells in the midst of holiness. He said unto the people of Israel, I am the LORD your God, be holy as I am holy. He never compromises on His holiness, which is His most important characteristic. It is His will that we, His people, be sanctified and live a holy life.

The reason behind God has called us to holiness is, we will live with Him in heaven one day. Nothing impure will ever enter in heaven, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful. During His coming, whose spirit, soul, and body are found to be blameless and spotless will be taken away to be with Him. When we look at the present condition of the world, it becomes clear that the coming of the Lord is imminent. News of wars and rumors of wars is heard everywhere. There is also the possibility of a nuclear war. No one knows when a man will meet death, likewise, the coming of the Lord. Whatever happens first, the Lord’s people must be ready to meet the Lord and be with Him in our eternal home. So dedicate yourself fully to live a holy life. It is also seen as a command, he that is holy, let him be holy still.

There is a lack of desire for holiness among Christians today. It is our duty to purify and keep our bodies holy. The eyes are the light of the body, and only when it is clean will the whole body be seen clean. The tongue is a world full of injustice, and it defiles the whole body. Therefore the tongue should be restrained and used with the intention of accounting for everything the man speaks. The heart must be kept clean, those who are pure in heart only can see God. Children of God, seek the holy life with fear and reverence, realizing that it is the Lord’s will for you that you should be holy.
